DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides clerical and office support within the Bureau of Geological Survey, Subsurface Geology Section, and ensures that data processing is done efficiently and effectively. This position organizes and maintains file areas, storage room, visitor area, conference room, and library.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
